In California, the company manufactures battery-electric transit buses and heavy-duty vehicles at its Lancaster facility while also providing electric material-handling equipment, energy storage systems, and other technologies that support the transition to a cleaner economy.

Daley Strategies worked with BYD to facilitate conversations with key decision-makers, public agencies, and community stakeholders around BYD’s capability to support California’s infrastructure modernization and clean energy goals. Daley Strategies assisted BYD with an ambitious port electrification initiative designed to demonstrate how BYD technologies could support large-scale decarbonization of goods movement and port operations.

Highlights

Daley Strategies supported BYD’s investment in both California’s clean-energy transition and the communities and workers helping make that transition possible. BYD’s proposed port electrification initiative, if fully implemented, would represent one of the largest projects of its kind in the country, creating a potential model for large-scale infrastructure electrification in California and beyond.
