Case Study
First Place for Youth
Our partner
Aging out of foster care can mark the beginning of an especially difficult transition into adulthood, with young people facing heightened risks of housing instability, unemployment, and disrupted education. Since 1998, First Place for Youth has worked to change that trajectory through housing, education, employment, and individualized support for transition-age foster youth.
How we helped
Daley Strategies supported First Place in positioning the organization as both a leading direct-service provider and an important voice in broader policy conversations around foster care, housing, workforce development, and youth services. Our work focused on building the relationships and visibility necessary to advocate for greater resources and long-term support for young people transitioning out of foster care.
Highlights
Through our partnership, Daley Strategies has helped reinforce First Place’s role as an advocate for transition-age foster youth while building a stronger foundation for the organization to engage policymakers and advance approaches that can support young people in California and beyond.
