Our partner

National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Los Angeles County (NAMI GLAC) provides free education, support, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families affected by mental illness across Los Angeles County. In a region where access to care remains uneven and many families must navigate complex health, social service, and justice systems, NAMI GLAC plays a critical role in connecting people to support, reducing stigma, and elevating the voices of those with lived experience.

How we helped

Daley Strategies works closely with NAMI GLAC to engage public sector leaders on priority mental health issues, including coordinating the organization’s annual advocacy day with the Board of Supervisors to advocate for expanded funding and critical mental health resources throughout the region.

Our team also supports NAMI GLAC’s criminal justice advocacy, focusing on the closure of Men’s Central Jail and the expansion of community-based diversion and treatment programs for justice-involved individuals living with mental illness. Through close collaboration with County departments, elected officials, and community stakeholders, Daley Strategies helps NAMI GLAC promote wellness, equity, and dignity for individuals and families impacted by mental illness across LA County.

Highlights

Daley Strategies has helped broaden NAMI GLAC’s network of public and community champions, including elected leaders and prominent advocates such as Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman, and Olympic medalist Jordan Chiles. Our team has also supported fundraising and outreach for NAMIWalks Greater Los Angeles County, helping raise thousands of dollars for one of the region’s largest mental health gatherings. The annual event brings together thousands of Angelenos for a free mental health festival while generating support for NAMI GLAC’s cost-free programs, including support groups, educational classes, advocacy initiatives, and the Connect with Hope Warmline.
