Case Study
National Health Foundation
Our partner
National Health Foundation (NHF) works at the intersection of health, homelessness, and housing, providing recuperative care and housing solutions for individuals who might otherwise have nowhere safe to recover after leaving the hospital.
How we helped
With an established track record of serving some of Los Angeles County’s most vulnerable residents, NHF engaged Daley Strategies to create new pathways to expand its housing impact. Through strategic government engagement, Daley Strategies helped NHF identify pathways for expanding its housing work through County programs and funding mechanisms.
Highlights
This engagement contributed to several new housing projects initiated by NHF using Los Angeles County funding mechanisms. During our partnership, NHF continued to build on an established continuum of recuperative care that includes its 58-bed Pico-Union facility and a 36-bed Glendale program operated in partnership with Los Angeles County’s Housing for Health program, providing individuals experiencing homelessness with a safe place to recover while connecting them to medical oversight, social services, and permanent housing.
