Case Study

Television Academy

Our partner

The Television Academy represents more than 30,000 members across the television and streaming industry, including more than 20,000 members in California. Its membership spans 31 professional peer groups, from performers, writers, directors, and producers to the craftspeople and technical professionals who power the industry, and the organization is best known for producing the Emmy Awards.

How we helped

The Television Academy partners with Daley Strategies to establish the Academy as a trusted resource and partner to state and local leaders on issues affecting television production, the creative workforce, and the future of California’s entertainment economy. Through external engagement and legislative advocacy, our team helps key decision-makers understand the breadth of the television workforce and the economic and cultural importance of production in California. We monitor and advance policy priorities affecting Academy members, while also supporting the Television Academy Foundation in identifying opportunities to expand its creative workforce development programs.

Highlights

Daley Strategies helped build coalitions in support of priority state legislation, securing formal endorsements from influential Southern California business organizations and elected leaders. Our team coordinated advocacy trips, legislative meetings, campus tours, and regular touchpoints with policymakers, elevating the Academy’s role as a voice on the policies shaping the future of television in California.
