Sofia Martinez

Senior Research Associate

Sofia Martinez is a recent graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, where she spent the year immersed in projects across the nonprofit, business, government, and labor sectors throughout Southern California. A UCLA graduate with degrees in Political Science and Economics, Sofia built a foundation in public service through internships in Governor Gavin Newsom’s Legislative Affairs Unit, Congressman Salud Carbajal’s office in Washington, DC, and at PATH, where she focused on housing and homelessness policy. With experience across multiple sectors, Sofia deeply values cross-sector collaboration, diverse perspectives, and relationship-building to advance policies that uplift the region’s most vulnerable communities.
